TECHNICAL JOURNEY
The Spark at Apple's Doorstep
My tech journey began unexpectedly in Cupertino, California, where I worked as a leasing agent across from Apple headquarters in 2011. During the smartphone revolution, I witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of technology as I helped place countless Apple engineers in their new homes. The energy was infectious - seeing young professionals being offered remarkable opportunities in tech sparked my curiosity about the industry's potential.

Silicon Valley's Mobile Classroom
In 2013, I became one of San Francisco's first Lyft and Uber drivers, turning my car into a rolling hub of tech inspiration. For two years, my passengers were the architects of the digital revolution - software engineers, IT professionals, and startup founders from San Francisco's SOMA district. Each ride was an opportunity to learn about tech culture, with conversations that opened my eyes to the possibilities in software development.

The Pivot
Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of Silicon Valley's young innovators and their ability to impact users worldwide through software, I made a decisive career change. I returned to my hometown of Vancouver, Canada, to pursue formal education in Software Systems Development at BCIT. This decision wasn't just about changing careers - it was about transforming my fascination with technology into expertise.

Launch
In 2017, I graduated with distinction from BCIT's Software Systems Development program, emerging as a full-stack web developer. My unique journey - from leasing agent to rideshare driver to software developer - has given me a distinctive perspective on how technology can transform lives and businesses. This unconventional path has become my greatest strength, allowing me to approach software development with both technical expertise and real-world business insight.
